To do the My Girl couple trend with AI you need one or two photos (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each), a Google account to sign in, and credits: 10 for the full 10-second video, 6 for the 6-second one. The video usually takes a few minutes, and it comes with the trend’s original sound already on it, so you can post it right away. No filming, no friend holding a hand over the lens.
How to Do the My Girl Couple Trend, Step by Step
- Open the generator and sign in. Go to the generator on the homepage and continue with Google. Your credits and your latest video are kept in that account.
- Add photo 1. This is the person or pet on the left of the video. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB. An iPhone HEIC photo works in Safari; in other browsers, convert it to JPG first.
- Add photo 2, or leave it empty. Photo 2 is the one on the right: your partner, your best friend or your pet. Leave it empty and you get the solo version, where you tilt your head with a smile and a little wink on the drop.
- Pick the length. 10 seconds (10 credits) is the whole trend; 6 seconds (6 credits) starts later, with the hand already up. The button shows the cost before you press it.
- Confirm the photos are OK to use. Tick the box: it’s you, your pet, or someone who agreed, and there are no celebrities, public figures or minors in the photos.
- Press “Make my video” and wait. It usually takes a few minutes. You can close the page: when you come back, the generator shows your latest video.
- Download it or share it. The finished video plays in the generator with a Download (MP4) button and a TikTok share button next to it.
- Post it with the AI label. The sound is already on the video, so it’s ready to post. The posting steps are below.
Photo Tips for a Better Result
- One person or pet per photo. If your favorite photo of you two is a couple shot, crop it into two photos, one for each of you.
- Face clearly visible, facing the camera. Front-facing works best; a face turned away or half hidden gives the AI less to go on.
- Good light. Daylight or a well-lit room beats a dark or backlit photo.
- A chest-up selfie is enough. You don’t need a full-body shot.
- Mind left and right. Photo 1 is on the left as you watch the video, photo 2 on the right.
- Pets too. A clear photo of your pet, face visible, works the same way as a person.
- Skip these. Celebrity photos, screenshots with another app’s watermark, and flags or political images are refused by the AI’s content review (your credits come back).
6 Seconds or 10 Seconds?
- 10 seconds (10 credits): the full trend. It plays the whole 10-second sound: the hand covers your eyes for about 7 seconds and the reveal comes at about 7 seconds, on the drop. This is the default and the one that matches the TikTok posts.
- 6 seconds (6 credits): straight to the reveal. It starts later in the sound, with the hand already up, and the reveal comes at about 3 seconds. Pick it if you want the payoff fast or want your credits to go further.
What It Costs
There’s no free video: signing in with Google is free, but every video uses credits. Packs are one-time payments, with no subscription, and the credits never expire:
- Single, $9.90: 20 credits, two 10-second videos or three 6-second ones.
- Trio, $19.90: 60 credits, six 10-second videos (or ten 6-second ones).
- Crew, $29.90: 100 credits, ten 10-second videos (or sixteen 6-second ones).
Payment goes through Stripe Checkout and shows as AI LAB on your card statement. If you run out of credits, you get a one-time 20% off for 8 hours (once per account). Invite friends with your link and you get +1 credit for each one who signs up and +10 when they make a first purchase, up to 50 credits in total; they get 20% off their first order for 24 hours.
If Your Video Fails or Doesn’t Look Right
- The render failed. We retry it once for free. If that fails too, your credits go back to your account automatically.
- The photos were turned down. The AI’s content review refuses celebrity faces, screenshots with another app’s watermark, and flags or political images. You get the credits back (without a retry); try again with your own photos.
- It looks a bit off. Results vary between renders. The background is a simple bright room that can change, and sometimes your photo’s own background shows through. A clearer, front-facing, well-lit photo with one person or pet in it usually helps.
- You’re not happy with it. Email [email protected] and we refund your payment in money, through Stripe, to the card or method you paid with.
How to Post It on TikTok (the Sound Is Already On)
- Get the video into TikTok. Tap the TikTok button next to your video, or download the MP4 and upload it in the TikTok app.
- Keep the sound as it is. The video already has “som original – woody cria” on it, cut so the hand drops on the beat, so you don’t need to add or line up anything.
- Optional: link the original sound. If you’d like your video to sit with the other versions under the sound, tap “Add sound”, pick “som original – woody cria”, and turn your video’s original audio down so the two don’t play over each other.
- Write the caption. The first post just said “My girl ❤️”. The hashtags people use are #mygirlcoupletrend and #mygirloriginalcoupletrend.
- Turn on the AI-generated content label. Switch it on in TikTok’s post settings before you publish.
The same vertical 9:16 MP4 also works for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts; just say in the caption that it’s made with AI.
Other Ways to Do the Trend
- Film it for real. You need the two of you in the same place, someone filming with a flat hand right in front of the lens, the sound, and a few takes to get the hand to drop on the beat. It costs nothing, but it needs a helper and good timing.
- A CapCut template. From October 22 and 23, TikTok tutorials pointed people to a CapCut template for an AI version (for example this tutorial by @lynn448432). You do the editing yourself in the CapCut app.
- This generator. Photos only, so the two of you don’t even need to be together, a pet can take one spot, and the sound is already on the MP4. It costs credits.

How-To FAQ
Can I use a photo from my iPhone?
Yes. HEIC photos from an iPhone work in Safari; in other browsers, convert them to JPG or PNG first. Each photo can be up to 10 MB.
How long does the video take?
Usually a few minutes. You don’t have to wait on the page: close it, and your latest video will be in the generator when you come back.
Does the video have a watermark?
No. You get a clean 720p vertical 9:16 MP4 with the trend’s sound on it.
Can my partner and I be in separate photos?
Yes, that’s how it works: one photo each, one person or pet per photo. Photo 1 goes on the left and photo 2 on the right.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. If you’re not happy with a finished video, email [email protected] and your payment is refunded in money through Stripe. Failed renders and refused photos get their credits back automatically.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity?
No. Celebrities, public figures and minors aren’t allowed, and the AI’s content review refuses celebrity faces anyway.
